Recap: Modoc Braves vs. Biggs Wolverines
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Modoc Braves, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of Biggs on Friday. Modoc's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Jafeth Mendez threw for 157 yards on eight of 18 attempts. Jordan Maddox was his top target, picking up 100 receiving yards. On the ground, Lewis Crumwell rushed for 42 yards.
Zach Smith was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Brody Hudson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Modoc's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Biggs, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Modoc does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Biggs will head out on the road to face off against Weed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weed is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
