Basketball Game Preview: Army-Navy Warriors vs. Oceanside Pirates

The Army-Navy Warriors just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Oceanside Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Army-Navy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Army-Navy opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-42 loss to Foothills Christian.

Meanwhile, Oceanside was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 57-56 to Rancho Bernardo. Even though they lost, the Pirates' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Army-Navy will need focus on slowing down Ethan Fernandez, one of several Oceanside players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Jaeliin Watts was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points.

Army-Navy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Oceanside, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
