Lafayette Christian was the victim of a tough 79-57 defeat at the hands of Shiloh Hills Christian on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Lafayette Christian has suffered since November 27, 2023.
Despite the loss, Lafayette Christian still got an impressive performance from Bruno Tellez, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Tellez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. Joshua Zapata was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Lafayette Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
Lafayette Christian will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Hearts Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Hearts Academy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they will be playing at home against Dominion Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
