Basketball Recap: Prairie Gets the Win

Prairie hadn't done well against Briggsdale recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Prairie Mustangs walked away with a 51-41 victory over the Briggsdale Falcons. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 38-30 loss the last time these two teams met.

Prairie found their leader in sophomore Hunter Johnson, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Carlson, who posted six points.

Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Briggsdale, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Prairie has already played their next contest (against Eads), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Briggsdale has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Peetz.
