Baseball Recap: Green Canyon Falls Short of West Field in the Playoffs

Green Canyon and West Field squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Green Canyon had to settle for second. They lost 10-2 to the Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-6 defeat back in April.

Green Canyon's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20. As for West Field, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Green Canyon beat West Field by a score of 14-13 on Saturday.
