Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central Takes a Loss

Corydon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the New Albany Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-10.

New Albany's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Margherita Nurra, who had five digs and three aces.

Corydon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for New Albany, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Corydon Central and New Albany will both be playing Evansville Central the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Bears at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
