Basketball Game Preview: Highland Huskies vs. Nezperce Nighthawks

Highland hasn't had much luck against Nezperce recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Highland Huskies will be playing at home against the Nezperce Nighthawks at 4:30 p.m. Highland will be strutting in after a victory while Nezperce will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Highland humbled Timberline with a 42-13 victory. The team accrued 30 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.

Highland's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hailey Click, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals, and Sheradyn Stamper, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 steals. The dominant performance also gave Click a new career-high in boards (eight). Kylee Beck was another key player, putting up four points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Nezperce lost to Orofino on the road by a 36-19 margin back in November.

Nezperce's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Highland was dealt a bruising 53-20 defeat at the hands of Nezperce in their previous meeting back in February. Thankfully for Highland, Erica Zenner (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
