Basketball Recap: Lakeside Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lakeside extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Michael Youngblood. The Lakeside Panthers came out on top against the Greenbrier Wolfpack by a score of 61-53 on Friday thanks in part to Youngblood, who posted eight points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Greenbrier lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jackson Mcdonald, who earned ten points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Moses, who scored nine points and five steals.

Lakeside's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Greenbrier, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lakeside and Greenbrier will both be playing Evans the next time they take the court. Lakeside will head out to face Evans at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Greenbrier will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
