Baseball Game Preview: Goodwin RVT Gladiators vs. Cheney Tech Chargers

The Goodwin RVT Gladiators will head out to challenge the Cheney Tech Chargers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Goodwin RVT is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Goodwin RVT lost 17-3 to Wolcott RVT on Tuesday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Cheney Tech and Norwich RVT had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Chargers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Morgan Salkeld was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Cheney Tech: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Jovan Garcia also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Cheney Tech now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Goodwin RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Goodwin RVT came out on top in a nail-biter against Cheney Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Gladiators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
