With a playoff win on the line, Cherry Creek rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They beat the Fort Collins Lambkins by a goal, winning 4-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Cherry Creek's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while Fort Collins are ranked 51st).

Cherry Creek hit Fort Collins with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cooper Arledge (2), Luis Arias Cajiga, and Nathan Palmer.

Cherry Creek's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Fort Collins, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-8-1 record.

Cherry Creek has already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Fossil Ridge on the 4th. Fort Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
