AAAAA Region 6 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Austin Guest's Big Game Leads Creekview over Pope

Starting off the list is Creekview's Austin Guest, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Guest rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Those 175 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

If history really does repeat itself, Guest might just drop another big game when he faces off against River Ridge on Friday. When Guest last faced the Knights back in October of 2023, he rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 150 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.

Sprayberry Gets a Boost from Duckett in 30-27 Victory

Sprayberry picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jaden Duckett. Duckett was dynamite, throwing for 325 yards and a touchdown while picking up 16.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Duckett might have his next game, a road matchup with Lassiter, circled on his calendar. Duckett rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 122 yards on only ten passes the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Rajecki and Sequoyah will challenge River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Knights, probably because Rajecki had a solid game then too: he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
