Mendota's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Byron Tigers 10-9. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 15-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Lexie Saylor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Emily Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
