Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Comes Up Short

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was the 56-23 winner over DSST: Green Valley Ranch when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors. The Ocelotls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DSST: Green Valley Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabby Gordon, who posted five points and 20 boards. Janice Sor was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-13.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 27-25 defeat against DMLK on the 7th. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-20 loss against Denver West on the 7th.
