Baseball Game Preview: Anderson Prep Academy Jets vs. Seton Catholic Cardinals

The Anderson Prep Academy Jets will head out on the road to take on the Seton Catholic Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson Prep Academy is looking for their season's first victory.

Anderson Prep Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Elwood on Friday. The Jets lost 15-5 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Seton Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Muncie Burris on Tuesday and fell 6-5.

Tyson Tremain put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Tremain was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tremain wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Collin Murray, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Murray is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Zack Robinson was another, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Anderson Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Seton Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Anderson Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Seton Catholic in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-3. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
