Volleyball Recap: Mount St. Mary Rockets vs. Round Rock Dragons
Mount St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Round Rock Dragons.
Isabella Williams paced Mount St. Mary's offense, picking up nine kills. Williams got some help from Jentri Denwalt and her 21 assists. Kenleigh Booth controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Round Rock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Goode, who had 13 assists and 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave Goode a new career-high. Isa Cordaway-Dreier was another key player, getting nine digs and eight assists.
Mount St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Round Rock, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.
Mount St. Mary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Bridgeland on the 30th. As for Round Rock, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Eastlake on the 30th.
