Basketball Recap: Loyola Comes Up Short

Loyola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 86-72 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Loyola's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for St. Mary's, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Loyola will take on Alden-Conger in a holiday battle at at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 70-58 defeat against Springfield on the 13th.
