Football Game Preview: Payson Lions vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings

The Payson Lions will take on the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Payson's offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Orem on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Tigers are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove came up short against Timpview on Thursday and fell 19-7. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Payson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
