Volleyball Recap: North Platte Bulldogs vs. Fremont Tigers

If North Platte was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bryan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Platte Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Fremont Tigers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Keyala Williams paced North Platte's offense, picking up four kills. Williams got some help from Abby Kaminski and her eight assists.

McKinzie Brandt had a dynamite game for Fremont, getting 11 digs and six aces. Brandt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryleigh Hofer, who had 11 digs.

North Platte's loss dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Fremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 24 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

North Platte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lincoln East on the 30th.
