Port Washington had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds 51-49. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Port Washington's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Half Hollow Hills East, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Port Washington will challenge Jamestown at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Jamestown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Port Washington likes a good challenge. Half Hollow Hills East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
