Softball Preview: La Junta Tigers vs. Alamosa Mean Moose
La Junta is 6-0 against Alamosa since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The La Junta Tigers will welcome the Alamosa Mean Moose at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Shea Jordan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in batting average. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lexany Heredia, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hailie Dupont, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Alamosa didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with six strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gunnison only tossed three.
The victory got La Junta back to even at 7-7. As for Alamosa, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
