Softball Recap: Corvian Community Comes Up Short

After flying high against Christ the King last Wednesday, Corvian Community came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 19-2 to the Mountain Island Charter Raptors on Tuesday. The Cardinals were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Raptors' pitcher proved too tough.

Corvian Community saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Hoskins, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

With the loss, Corvian Community broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-8. As for Mountain Island Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Raptors beat Corvian Community by a score of 20-5 on Thursday.
