Basketball Recap: Woodward Takes a Loss

Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Rogers Rams and fell 60-18. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Polar Bears of the 63-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Woodward's record is now 0-12. As for Rogers, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodward has already played their next game (against Cardinal Stritch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rogers will take on Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 2:45 p.m. on Monday. Chaminade Julienne Catholic is on a three-game streak of home wins, Rogers a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
