Norris faced Hastings in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Titans narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Tigers  4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2024.
 Carson Ibsen looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Crew Moeller was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March.
Norris is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hastings,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norris will face off against Gretna East at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Griffins' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hastings, they will challenge Blair at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
