Hackett had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Danville Little Johns as they made off with a 39-13 win. The Hornets not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 20, 2024 (when they won 47-0).

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackett will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gentry at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Danville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Westside at 9:00 p.m.
