Basketball Recap: Washington Tech Comes Up Short

Washington Tech lost against Johnson back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Washington Tech Eagles were outmatched by the Johnson Governors and fell 103-69. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Governors are ranked 81st).

Washington Tech now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Johnson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Washington Tech and Johnson: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Washington Tech will try to hand Humboldt their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Johnson will look to extend Como Park's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
