Softball Recap: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Comes Up Short

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers, falling 13-2. If the Fighting Saints were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-11 defeat against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on the 12th. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against New London-Spicer on the 12th.
