Soccer Game Preview: Coolidge vs. Globe

The Coolidge Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Globe Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Coolidge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Yuma Catholic on Wednesday. They came up short against the Shamrocks, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for Coolidge in their meetings with Yuma Catholic: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Globe fell victim to ALA - Ironwood and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Warriors.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Coolidge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Coolidge beat Globe by a goal in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
