Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanhope Elmore). They never let the Percy Julian Phoenix get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won five in a row.

Tyler Woodham made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

In other batting news, Stanhope Elmore let Jordan Jones and Jackson Hynes run wild. Jones scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Hynes scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Hynes has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braydon Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Stanhope Elmore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stanhope Elmore's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Percy Julian, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
