There's no place like home for Pipestone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Luverne Cardinals on Monday. Considering the Arrows have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Pipestone got a massive performance out of Mariah Moeller, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Moeller a new career-high. Alicia Haack also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Pipestone's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Luverne, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
