Basketball Game Preview: River Valley Dust Devils vs. Parker Broncs

River Valley is 1-9 against Parker since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The River Valley Dust Devils will face off against the Parker Broncs at 5:30 p.m.

River Valley is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They took a blow against Yuma Catholic, falling 79-9. The Dust Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parker). They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over Bourgade Catholic on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Broncs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Parker pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

River Valley came up short against Parker in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 38-30. Can River Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
