Softball Recap: Cajun Christian Athletics Wins Going Away Against Acadiana Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cajun Christian Athletics). Everything went their way against the Acadiana Christian Lions on Monday as the Cajun Christian Athletics Gators made off with a 16-1 win. Considering the Gators have won three contests by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cajun Christian Athletics let Bethany Hill and Esther Tullos run wild. Hill scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 4-for-4, while Tullos scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Hill is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Addalynn Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-1.

Cajun Christian Athletics was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .650. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Cajun Christian Athletics pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Acadiana Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Cajun Christian Athletics will take on Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Cajun Christian Athletics' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Acadiana Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th.
