Volleyball Recap: Great Hearts Western Hills Extends Winning Streak to Four

Great Hearts Western Hills waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the San Marcos Academy Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

While Great Hearts Western Hills might've won, it sure wasn't easy: San Marcos Academy scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 27-25, 25-22.

Great Hearts Western Hills found their leader in sophomore Elsie Walter, who had ten digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Walter.

Great Hearts Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for San Marcos Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Great Hearts Western Hills will challenge Medina at 10:15 a.m. on the 28th. As for San Marcos Academy, they will face off against Incarnate Word Academy on Friday.
