Softball Game Preview: Peters Township Indians vs. East Allegheny Wild Cats

The Peters Township Indians will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the East Allegheny Wild Cats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Peters Township is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Fayette on Tuesday.

Braylin Fusco and Madi Renda did some serious damage despite the final result: Fusco scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Renda went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Carson, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, East Allegheny unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Greensburg Salem on Monday, falling 24-5.
