Football Recap: Richland's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Richland was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 21-7 to the Kennewick Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Bombers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jackson Woodard threw for 105 yards on 11 of 30 attempts. Pierson Bryant was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Richland fell to 4-1. As for Kennewick, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland will head out to take on Sageview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers will be up against the Lobos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kennewick, they are taking a road trip to challenge Walla Walla at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
