Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View lost against Whittier Christian back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mountain View Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whittier Christian Heralds. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain View came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23.

Whittier Christian found their leader in sophomore Anwar Klewer, who had 20 digs. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Klewer.

Mountain View now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Whittier Christian, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Mountain View has already played their next game (against Pioneer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Whittier Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Mayfair on the 4th.
