The McGavock Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Cane Ridge Ravens at 5:00 p.m. McGavock will be strutting in after a victory while Cane Ridge will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, McGavock finally turned things around against Antioch on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Raiders have posted since September 5th.

The 3-0 doesn't show just how dominant McGavock was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-7.

McGavock can attribute much of their success to Micayla Rivers, who had 15 digs. With that strong performance, Rivers is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

McGavock was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Cane Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Anderson County.

After all that action, the final score was 25-12, 25-19.

McGavock's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Cane Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

McGavock was able to grind out a solid win over Cane Ridge in their previous matchup back in August, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for McGavock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
