Football Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

St. James lost against Archbishop Shaw back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell 24-20 to the Eagles. While the Wildcats had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Eagles 13-3.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Archbishop Shaw, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

St. James and Archbishop Shaw should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 31st) will meet McDonogh 35 (ranked 99th) at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Archbishop Shaw will face off against Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (17 vs. 88).
