Basketball Recap: Wekiva Takes a Loss

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Wekiva challenged North Marion on Saturday. The Mustangs lost 62-37 to the Colts. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edward Law III, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 16 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Law III a new career-high in field goal percentage (83%). Darnell Goodman was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Wekiva's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for North Marion, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Wekiva will head out to square off against Hagerty at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Marion, they will host Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
