Baseball Game Preview: Cupertino Pioneers vs. MacDonald Condor

The Cupertino Pioneers will face off against the MacDonald Condor at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. MacDonald took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cupertino, who comes in off a win.

Cupertino proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Monta Vista 9-7. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, MacDonald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 24-1 to Santa Clara.

Cupertino's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for MacDonald, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
