Baseball Recap: Mekeel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mekeel Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They came up short against the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 15 runs.

As for Fonda-Fultonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games.

For Fonda-Fultonville's part, Sam Huckans was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Huckans a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Pickering, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
