Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian was the 65-49 winner over Nolan Catholic when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trinity Christian Trojans took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nolan Catholic Vikings. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Trojans came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Vikings are ranked 448th).

Trinity Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Nolan Catholic, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-13 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will take on Liberty Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge. As for Nolan Catholic, they will challenge Parish Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Parish Episcopal will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Nolan Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
