Basketball Recap: Berea Takes a Loss

Berea lost against Daniel back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Berea Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Daniel Lions.

Daniel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristyn Carrington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Carrington a new career-high in boards. Jackson Conley was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Berea has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Daniel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea will square off against Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Daniel, they will face off against Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Daniel is facing Pickens at the right time seeing as Pickens is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
