Gallup has gone a perfect 10-0 against Kirtland Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bengals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. This will be Gallup's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Monday, Gallup beat Santa Fe 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bengals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kirtland Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Shiprock on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory.

Rory Benally was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Kirtland Central got a massive performance out of Tanisha Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Thomas a new career-high. Tamirra Chee was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Gallup's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Kirtland Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Everything went Gallup's way against Kirtland Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Gallup made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
