Basketball Recap: Quion Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Estrella over Ajo

Estrella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 62-47 fall against the Ajo Red Raiders.

Estrella lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Quion Williams, who posted 21 points. The game was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mohammed Koroma, who had 15 points.

Estrella's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ajo, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Estrella will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ajo at 1:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Ajo will take on American Leadership Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
