Volleyball Recap: Bradley Central Takes a Loss

Bradley Central was the 2-0 winner over Tennessee when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Bradley Central's offense was headlined by Libby Stewart and Claudia Boyd, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Addison Stuman and her 15 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jena Belcher, racking up three apiece.

Leading Tennessee to victory were Emily Curtin and Camden Ward. Curtin had 12 assists and four digs, while Ward had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Curtin has posted since back in September of 2024.

Bradley Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Tennessee, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradley Central will head out to challenge McMinn County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tennessee, they will venture away from home to square off against Sullivan East at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
