Basketball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 58-38 to the Rock Creek Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Mustangs are ranked 67th).

Chapman's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Rock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Chapman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wamego at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rock Creek has already played their next game (against Clay Center), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
