Football Game Preview: Lakeland Hornets vs. Somers Tuskers

Lakeland is 0-3 against Somers since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tuskers at 6:00 p.m.

Lakeland lost 27-7 to Mahopac on Friday.

Meanwhile, Somers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Bears 30-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lakeland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Somers, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Lakeland was dealt a bruising 49-0 loss at the hands of Somers in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
