Volleyball Game Preview: Yellow Medicine East Sting vs. Minneota Vikings

Yellow Medicine East is 0-10 against Minneota since September of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Sting will square off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Yellow Medicine East turned things around against Lac qui Parle Valley on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The Sting not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Central Minnesota Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Minneota proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Bluejays 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won five in a row.

Minneota never let Central Minnesota Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.

Yellow Medicine East's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Minneota, their win bumped their record up to 23-7.

Yellow Medicine East suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Minneota when the teams last played last Thursday. Can the Sting avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
