Volleyball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Comes Up Short

Walsh Jesuit lost against Padua Franciscan back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Bruins. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walsh Jesuit started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-23.

Padua Franciscan found their leader in sophomore Giulia Reginelli, who had 13 digs. Reginelli is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Walsh Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Padua Franciscan, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Walsh Jesuit has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Padua Franciscan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 20th.
