Basketball Recap: Rockford Takes a Loss

Rockford was the 67-50 winner over Annandale when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockford Rockets fell 79-71 to the Annandale Cardinals on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Rockets still had to take the loss.

Rockford's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Annandale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockford will face off against Litchfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rockford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Litchfield likes a good challenge. As for Annandale, they will take on Watertown-Mayer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
